Synchronize Job Role permissions into Users

After members has been assigned to job roles, there is no requirement to synchronize Job Roles. It is performed automatically. The full sync. of Job Roles into user is required to capture current permission sets and user group structure for further comparison, to detect of changes (by updates from MS or new installations/uninstallations of extensions).

This action performs permissions synchronization for all Job Role members. System collects all Job Role members and build the ‘user list for sync.’, and then run two steps for each user from the list:

  • Delete all user groups and permission sets from User card
  • Insert new user groups and permission sets based on Job Roles membership

If there are users in the system without any Job Role assigned, they are not synchronized – system just keep their permissions without any changes. Access Manager administrator is also omitted from syncing.

Select Sync Job Roles from the Job Role list.
